Barriers Architectural Specifications
Rail sections shall be constructed from hot rolled, cold formed
11 gauge steel, and shall meet the requirements of ASTM, grade
E steel modified to a minimum yield of 50 K.S.I. Rails shall be
a minimum of 1 3/4" wide x 12" high x required length
no greater than 10', with a two rib design.
Mounting posts shall be a minimum T.S. 4" x 4" cold
formed structural steel tubing that meets the requirements of ASTM
grade B, FY=46 K.S.I.
Standard finish shall be a heat cured, epoxy based powder coating,
and shall be OSHA approved Safety Yellow with ultraviolet & sea
spray enhancements. Custom colors shall be matched as closely as
possible to customers color sample. All components shall be installed
per manufacturers approved installation instructions.
OSHA Approved Safety Yellow
Omega's standard finish is an epoxy based heat cured powder coating,
with ultraviolet and sea spray enhancements. This process offers
you literally years of maintenance free protection, even for outdoor
applications. The bright safety yellow color acts as a visual,
as well as a physical, barrier between your vehicle traffic and
your personnel, building, or equipment.
